Science Week at Bavarian Grammar Schools

Science Week at Bavarian Grammar Schools

During Science Week for 11th-grade students, the goal is not only to provide an insight into scientific work but also to inspire enthusiasm for current research and scientific topics, thereby supporting students in their career choices.
To achieve this, students work on an interdisciplinary framework topic (e.g. future, sustainability), allowing them to recognize the benefits of examining a topic from multiple disciplines. Within the framework topic, students are divided into small groups, each addressing a question or problem from the perspective of a lead subject. The results from the individual groups are then compiled, providing multiple different views of the framework topic.

One way to meet these requirements is by organizing a visit with the students to our facility. Small groups will have the opportunity to experiment independently with available tools to address the questions or problems posed by the lead subject computer science. These groups will be supported by both teachers and young researchers, giving them a glimpse into scientific working methods.

The following systems are available:

  • Arduinos
  • Lego Mindstorms
  • Ozobots
  • Calliope with various sensors
  • MakeyMakey
  • BeeBots

Feel free to contact us! We are happy to assist with the development of various classroom tasks and projects and their implementation with your students.
