WebNetSim for the Bavarian Curriculum

WebNetSim for the Bavarian Curriculum

The proven educational tool WebNetSim by Michael Hielscher, which enables students to simulate an internet-like network through role-play, has been extensively updated. The new version, WebNetSim-Bayern, allows the entire curriculum content on communication and networks for grades 7 and 11 to be taught in an interactive, hands-on way.

A key new feature is the network manager role, which is assigned to the teacher. The manager can save the entire network at the end of a lesson and restore it at exactly the same state in the next session. This ensures continuous work with WebNetSim-Bayern. In addition, the tool offers a variety of customization options that allow teachers to tailor the learning experience to their students’ needs.

Another highlight is the integrated HTML editor, which can be configured by the manager. With its help, students can easily create their own websites—making it an ideal tool for practical classroom applications.

Teacher Training on Using WebNetSim-Bayern in Grade 7 Lessons is in Development
